Listen: Conor Oberst Unveils New ‘Governor’s Ball’ Track
Bright Eyes songwriter Conor Oberst releases his new album this May.
‘Upside Down Mountain’ is his first solo album for five years, and the Bright Eyes frontman has shared the record’s second track following on from ‘Hundreds of Ways’.
‘Governor’s Ball’ is a rugged-edged beast. It wouldn’t be a surprise to learn that Conor penned it in grubby, unshaven state, beer stains soaking into his jumper. Ultimately any self-despair gets levelled out with gleeful rock ‘n roll triumph.
‘Upside Down Mountain’ is out 19th May.
