Listen: Cults Share ‘I Can Hardly Make You Mine’ Track
NYC duo offer out a track big enough to rival the fiercest of giants.

NYC’s Cults promised a return later this year ‘Static’ (out 15th October on Columbia). They’ve now shared the record’s first, glitter-ball material in ‘I Can Hardly Make You Mine’.
Densely packed full of melodies too huge to fit into a pair of skinny jeans, and the odd nod to psych via Tame Impala, it’s a big-sounding, triumphant return. Nods to their debut are there too - it hasn’t been forgotten altogether - but it’s easy to imagine the duo having spent the past couple of years dosed up on Kevin Parker production tips and an unlimited supply of cherry flavoured chapstick.
