Listen: Darkside Stream First 11 Minutes Of New Album
Nico Jaar and Dave Harrington preview their new work, release date TBA.
Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington’s Darkside album have streamed the opening, teasing minutes of their new album together. Recorded out in New York and with no official release date, this initial clip is still enough to keep fans on their toes.
Opening with an abstract, ringing glow that lasts a good 4 minutes, the remaining 7 proceed to push Jaar and Harrington’s work into new territory, with funk-fledged guitar lines and chamber-house patterns forcing through the fog.
Jaar’s own Other People website offered the first play of these 11 minutes.
The music’s accompanied by the striking shot of a forest fire. Something’s burning up.
