Listen: GEMS Share ‘Don’t Cry’ (Seal Cover)

DC duo Gems are surely set on releasing a debut album this year, following on from a 2013 that gradually set their name in stars. They’re in DIY’s Class of 2014 issue, and they’re set to take on SXSW 2014 as one of the standout names on the bill.

Before that, they’re giving away a surprise cover of Seal’s ‘Don’t Cry’. Lindsay Pitts runs through sweet, drifting atmospherics and crystallised guitars, in a gorgeous nod to their R&B influences.
