Listen: Låpsley Streams New Track, ‘Painter (Valentine)’
17 year old Liverpool-based producer justifies the hype surrounding her name.

With ‘Station’, Liverpool-based producer Låpsley stirred the scene with one of the most exciting tracks in a good while, the kind of song that offers more questions than answers. Vocal manipulation’s at the heart of real name Holly Fletcher’s work. The pitch is skewed to the extent that it doesn’t sound like there’s just the one person in the room. New song ‘Painter (Valentine’ sticks to the routine, coming off like James Blake shunning vocal noodling and just going for the hook.
‘She sets, matches and confounds expectations all at once,’ says a Neu profile penned earlier this year. Listen to the new song below to see what all the fuss is about.
