Listen: Richard Russell Remixes Damon Albarn’s ‘Everyday Robots’
Bass-heavy remix from the XL boss puts an emphasis on robotics.

boss Richard Russell was at the production desk for Damon Albarn’s first solo album ‘Everyday Robots’, and he’s given a new interpretation to the record’s title-track with this remix.
Beyond a sort of unnecessary robotic voice (carrying a slight double-meaning, if you catch Richard’s drift) that opens up the song giving all rights to Parlophone, the remix shows off something new, a refreshed take on the original with click-track beats throwing shapes against eerie string samples.
Midway through, a spoken word sample even reads out the actual definition of a remix, just in case you didn’t know.
‘Everyday Robots’ is released on 28th April.
