Listen: Royal Blood Unveil New Single, ‘Little Monster’

Brighton’s Royal Blood have followed up last year’s breakthrough ‘Out Of The Black’/’Come On Over’ single with a new track, ‘Little Monster’.

The song gained its first play as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record on Radio 1, fledging out the two-piece’s - Michael Kerr and Ben Thatcher - chugging riffs and playful take on rock’n’roll. As the title suggests, there’s a childish giddiness working its way through the track, backing chanted choruses - ‘I’ve got love on my fingers / lust on my tongue’ - and a frenzied, QOTSA-channelling force.

After giving the song its first play, Zane got quite excited. ‘You must be weeing on yourself right now!’ he belted, before dimming out any awkwardness by giving ‘Little Monster’ a second play.

Mike from the band ‘reckons’ the new album will be ‘out in August,’ by the way.
