DIY Presents: Royal Blood, Face Bar, Reading

DIY Class of 2014 alumni Royal Blood are heading out on an 11-date UK tour next month, and we’re delighted to be presenting one of these shows, at Reading Face Bar.

The Brighton duo of Michael Kerr and Ben Thatcher recently confirmed themselves for this year’s Great Escape, with all these dates arriving after the release of just one single: The flippant, hell-raising ‘Come On Over’/’Into The Black’.

Our DIY Presents show takes place at Reading Face Bar on 25th February in association with B&W Music and Monkeysuit. Tigercub are special guests, and tickets are priced at £7. It’s a 14+ show.

‘My sound has taken a long time to craft,’ Kerr said in January’s Class of 2014 interview. ‘I use three amplifiers at the same time, but that’s all I can really say. It’s a secret, I’m not about to give it away, it took me really long to make it sound as big as that! We don’t want to hide behind any insecurity of being a two-piece. I think it’s quite easy to go ‘right, let’s be as loud as possible because there’s only two of us’ and hide among that. But the most important thing for us is that we’re writing good songs.”
