Listen: Tashaki Miyaki Return With ‘Cool Runnings’ Track

The prospect of a debut album from LA trio Tashaki Miyaki looked a distant prospect going into the turn of the year, but they’ve sprung a surprise in the form of a new single, ‘Cool Runnings’, which comes out 25th February.

Last thing we heard from them was a 2012 cover of INXS’ ‘Never Tear Us Apart’. Following that, complete silence. Regardless of its timing, ‘Cool Runnings’ is an unashamedly lovely return, a woozy number that gives nods to Velvet Underground-era Lou Reed while beating its own drum. Gorgeousity made flesh, basically.
