Listen: The Soft Moon Streams ‘Feel’ Track
Luis Vasquez’s new single suggests a recent Depeche Mode tour might’ve rubbed off on him.

Luis Vasquez aka The Soft Moon is usually the type to rocket up guitars in a maddening, dystopian pit of darkness. That’s the course he took for 2012’s ‘Zeros’ (on Captured Tracks), and what preceded pointed in a similar direction.
On his new single ‘Feel’/’Hunger’, the A-side points towards a different tactic. If recent shows with Depeche Mode have had any impact, it’s on forcing his darkwave into a different environment. Vocals are rich, pointed and clear, not exactly pop-oriented but clearly aiming elsewhere to previous records. Keeping his moody routine, the song comes complete with an abrasive, television static video, below.
The single can be pre-ordered here - it’s out on 3rd February.
