Listen to an unreleased version of Manic Street Preachers’ ‘Revol’

This December sees the release of a much-anticipated, 20th anniversary edition of Manic Street Preachers’ outstanding 1994 LP ‘The Holy Bible’. Bringing together four CDs, a forty-page-book, plus a collection of rarities, stored on vinyl, the release looks to be final word on the band’s most infamous record.

Out 8th December, it’s being headed up by a previously unheard version of ‘Revol’, streaming below. A good chunk of the original remains, but there’s also a fizzing spoken word section from James Dean Bradfield that’s never been heard before, coming in around the two minute mark. It’s all talk of “social conventions you despise”, and it’s a priceless addition to this raw and brutal LP.
