Lola Young, RAYE & Fontaines DC all among The Ivors 2025 nominations

The Ivors Academy have  shared the news of their 2025 award nominees, which include 74 individual composers and songwriters. The Ivors 2025, which are in partnership with Amazon Music, recognise the achievements of writers across eight categories such as Best Album, Best Contemporary Song and Best Song Musically and Lyrically. 

This year’s nominations feature the likes of first time nominee, Lola Young, who is up for three awards from the academy. Fellow pop stars, RAYE and Dua Lipa have also received nominations, as well as guitar-based acts like Laura Marling, Orla Gartland and previous winners Fontaines DC. 

Charli XCX, Ghetts, Jordan Rakei, Lola Young, and BERWYN have all been nominated for Best Album, while Pa Salieu, Bashy, and Little Mix’s JADE are also in the running for the Best Contemporary Song. 

The ceremony which recognises exceptional achievements in the field, will celebrate its 70th year at Grosvenor House in London, on Thursday 22nd May - when U2 will be inducted into the Academy Fellowship.
