Mastersystem share new track ‘Old Team’
They’re releasing their new album ‘Dance Music’ next week.
Scott and Grant Hutchinson of Frightened Rabbit, Justin Lockey of Editors and Minor Victories’ James Lockey have come together under the name of Mastersystem, and together they’re releasing a new album, ‘Dance Music’, on 6th April – that’s next Friday!
So far they’ve shared ‘Notes On A Life Not Quite Lived’ and, just last week, a video for ‘The Enlightenment’. Ahead of the album’s release, they’ve shared ‘Old Team’, another slice of scuzzy alt-rock.
Scott Hutchinson said of the album at the time of its announcement: “This is not the angst of a teenager, however. This is the anxiety of a man in his mid-30s, and for a lot of this record I found myself wrestling with the ways in which I am not quite doing life right, in spite of appearing to lead a relatively joyful, playful and artistic existence”.
The band are heading out on a UK tour in April and May, which will see them head to Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and London. Tickets are on sale now.
