Matt Maltese returns with news of next album ‘Hers’

Indie favourite Matt Maltese has revealed that his sixth LP ‘Hers’ will arrive this Spring, and has also served up new track ‘Always Some MF’ - the second to be lifted from the record. 

Due to hit shelves on 16th May via The Orchard, ‘Hers’ was teased last month via the release of ‘Anytime, Anyplace, Anyhow’, and promises to be Matt’s most intimate, heartfelt offering to date. 

“I’ve written a lot of music that comes from a place of infatuation, but this record was written on reflection of a much longer-term love,” he has shared, speaking about the emotions and experiences that informed ‘Hers’. “The complications and wonderful roads that that goes through and the more informed heartaches that come out of it. I got to really reflect and slave over it… It’s a bit like having a year to write a really important email.” 

Latest cut ‘Always Some MF’ is the epitome of such musings, its melodic lilt serving to spotlight Matt’s signature croon as he explores the trials and tribulations of romantic jealousy.
