Matt Maltese shares new love song ‘Buses Replace Trains’
HIs new record ‘Hers’ is due for release on the 16th May.

Singer-songwriter Matt Maltese has shared his new single, ‘Buses Replace Trains’, ahead of the release of his forthcoming sixth album, ‘Hers’. The new record is due to be released on the 16th May and will feature the newest track alongside previously-shared singles ‘Always Some MF’, ‘Anytime, Anyplace, Anyhow’ and ‘Pined For You My Whole Life’.
The new track got its name from a conversation between Maltese and his uncle about band names in which the title ‘Buses Replace Trains’ was suggested to him. “There was something touching about the phrase ‘Buses Replace Trains’ out of context,” says Maltese on the single.
“It triggered of course the nostalgia of rail replacement buses in Reading growing up, but I also just couldn’t shake that it was a title for a love song. So plain and ordinary and quotidian,” he adds.
Maltese has also announced intimate shows to accompany the release of ‘Hers’, in which he will visit record stores in cities including New York, London and Brighton. You can find the instore dates below.
