Menace Beach return with ‘Maybe We’ll Drown’, announce new album ‘Lemon Memory’

Ahead of their London show this evening, Menace Beach have returned with a brand new track.

The Leeds-based band - headed up by Liza Violet and Ryan Needham - have shared their new offering ‘Maybe We’ll Drown’, along with the news of their new album.

Written in Ibiza and recorded in Sheffield with Ross Orton, their second full-length is titled ‘Lemon Memory’ and sees the band trying to “lift a citrus based curse” which has apparently been placed on their house. It’ll be released on 20th January 2017 via Memphis Industries and is ten tracks in length. Check out the tracklisting:

The first lemony taste of their new record comes in the form of the satisfyingly taut ‘Maybe We’ll Drown’, which pairs Liza’s sugary sweet vocals with just the right dose of haunting scuzz. “The one ‘rule’ thing we went into the album session with,” explains Liza, touching up the restraint shown in the track, “was to keep in mind that sometimes doing The Opposite is much more interesting.”
