Menace Beach preview debut album with ‘Blue Eye’
Band share track alongside UK tour announcement.

Business is in full swing for Menace Beach in 2015. The Leeds group have shared a new track called ‘Blue Eye’, taken from their debut album ‘Ratworld’, released by Memphis Industries on 27th January.
New track ‘Blue Eye’ is a distinctive new turn in the band’s repertoire. Vocalist and songwriter Liza Violet sings solely in a space occupied by hushed guitars and effects. The balance tilts towards noise towards the ending, as the placidity of their creation is cut in favour of an unrestrained guitar that changes the mood considerably.
Speaking to Rookie, Violet explained the song’s creation: “I suppose lyrically there are a lot of feelings of insecurity in there, and of questioning yourself and searching for some sort of self worth. It felt like a healthy process to make something exactly how I wanted it to be.”
