Listen:
Menace Beach streaming debut album ‘Ratworld’ in full
The former DIY all-dayer stars have aired their first record - produced by Hookworms’ MJ - in full online.
So-called super-group Menace Beach might boast members from Komakino, Sky Larkin, You Animals, Pulled Apart By Horses and Hookworms, but now, with their debut album ‘Ratworld’ streaming in full online, the Leeds band are ready to stand up alone.
“It was good to pick and craft this album out of a load of madness,” the band’s bassist Matt Spalding told DIY late last year, fresh off the stage from the band’s stint at our London All-Dayer. ‘Ratworld’ is produced by MJ of Hookworms, a long-time friend of the band who also plays guitar on the record. A swirling haze of soaring harmonies, intermingling with hard-hitting, lurching, bassy darkness, Menace Beach are wreaking beautiful, noisy havoc.
Menace Beach’s debut album ‘Ratworld’ is streaming via Hype Machine. Listen below:
