Merchandise cancel remaining European and US tour dates

The cancellations follow a serious injury suffered by frontman Carson Cox.

Merchandise have been touring their scarily good new album ‘A Corpse Wired For Sound’ as of late, but have unfortunately had to cancel their remaining tour dates in Europe and America due to a incident at their recent Leeds show. Frontman Carson Cox fractured his jaw and shattered several teeth after collapsing backstage.

In a statement the band said: “On November 5th, after the Leeds gig, Carson lost consciousness and had a fall backstage. After multiple tests, we think it was due to exhaustion and nothing serious. During his fall, he hit his chin badly breaking several teeth and fractured his jaw.”

Luckily, as the band added, “Carson is expected to make a full recovery and we plan on making up the shows as best as we can in Spring 2017.” Here’s wishing Carson a speedy recovery.
