Fork it!
Metz get creative with cutlery in their ‘Drained Lake’ video
Prepare to go on a voyage into the transient nature of time and space… With forks.

Last month Metz released their latest album ‘Strange Peace’ and now, ahead of a tour, they’ve shared a video for ‘Drained Lake’.
Directed by Shayne Ehman (who’s also behind the band’s ‘Cellophane’ clip), it’s a journey into the transient nature of time and space. Via the power of cutlery and kitchen equipment. Yep, there’s a lot of forks paying other forks as violins and drums, clocks that don’t seem to understand their proper functions, muffin trays that come flying like ghosts out of walls and a woman who transforms into a cat. Okay, that one’s not cutlery based, but it’s still a surreal odyssey nonetheless.
Metz are set to bring ‘Strange Peace’ to the UK for a handful of live dates next month. Tickets are on sale now.
We recently sent Metz’s Hayden Menzies back to the drawing board to give us some visual representations of what their new album looks like. See what he created here.
