Mica Levi is scoring Natalie Portman starring biopic ‘Jackie’

The Good Sad Happy Bad whizz won multiple awards for her work on the soundtrack for ‘Under the Skin’ in 2014.

All-round experimental music whizz and soundtrack award-winner extraordinaire Mica Levi is set to score the forthcoming biopic ‘Jackie’.

Directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín (No, The Club, Neruda), the film depicts the days surrounding U.S. president John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. Natalie Portman stars as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, with Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup, and John Hurt also starring.

Mica Levi won multiple gongs and awards nods last time she scored a film - her ‘Under The Skin’ soundtrack was nominated at the British Independent Film Awards and BAFTAs, and won a European Film Award, too. “I went to some pretty flashy dos,” Mica joked, talking to DIY last year.

Mica Levi’s band Good Sad Happy Bad (previously known as Micachu & The Shapes) released their last album ‘Good Sad Happy Bad’ in 2015. Mica Levi’s since released a collaborative mixtape, ‘May and Meeks’ with her old friend Brother May.
