Morrissey hasn’t been dropped by label Harvest Records
Incorrect rumours suggested he’d parted ways with his record label.
Last week, a rumour spread from a Morrissey fansite that he’d been dropped by his record label, Harvest Records. The news emerged via Truetoyou.net, the closing thing to the horse’s mouth anyone’s likely to get, especially given it’s often a platform Moz uses to post open letters and puzzling statements.
Rumours were fuelled by a post of this kind the week before, where Morrissey appeared to criticise his label and promotion team for their lack of activity around new album ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business’.
After investigating the issue, Billboard managed to contact a spokesperson at Harvest Records, who confirmed that Morrissey is very much still in contract, with one album left on his current deal.
‘World Peace’ is set to be played live for the first time during a show in Lisbon, Portugal, on 6th October.
