Meat is Murder
Morrissey’s made his own animal welfare-themed video game
“This game is the biggest social crusade of all,” the ever modest Smiths frontman said.

Another day, another grand statement from The Smiths frontman, and outspoken animal welfare activist Morrissey. He’s claiming he’s made a video game to trump Pokemon Go.
Together with PETA and This Is Pop, The Smiths have created a new 8-Bit game called The Beautiful Creature Must Die. Soundtracked by Moz and co’s ‘Meat Is Murder,’ the basic aim of the game is to save various farm animals from being slaughtered as they tumble across the screen.
“This game is the biggest social crusade of all, as we safeguard the weak and helpless from violent human aggression,” said an ever-modest Morrissey in a press release. “You don’t get that from ‘Pokémon Go.”
You sure don’t.
