Morrissey previews new album with ‘The Bullfighter Dies’
Moz lists off European cities in a track from ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business’.
Morrissey is streaming another track from his ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Businsess’ LP. Again arriving alongside a spoken word version - all smoky bars and jazz-y piano lines - ‘The Bullfighter Dies’ is a cultured European specimen, listing off capital cities in melodramatic fashion.
“Mad in Madrid, ill in Seville,” he begins, before unleashing some zingers including “Gaga in Malaga” and “Mental in Valencia.” The song’s about people cheering when a bull survives a deathmatch and ends up killing the bullfighter - cheery.
Morrissey’s new album is released on 14th July via Harvest Records. See both versions of ‘The Bullfighter Dies’ below.
Last week a handful of US dates were cancelled by Morrissey, who cited illness but then ran into a conflicting account from his support act.
