Mura Masa and Shura team up on ‘Love For That’

The two rising producers have formed a super-duo for the track - Shura Masa.

Rising Brighton-via-rural-Guernsey producer Mura Masa has teamed up with Shura for new track ‘Love For That’. Dubbing their combination Shura Masa, the song collides panpipes, tubular bells, and the occasional demand “let me see your lighters,” to potent, stand-out effect. It’s the first single taken from Mura Masa’s forthcoming debut album, with a video set to follow.

Alex Crossan grew up in the middle of nowhere on the Channel Islands, and has since relocated to Brighton. Minimal and strange, Mura Masa’s production stands apart from artificial, bleepy-bloopy wares elsewhere. Heavily leaning on traditional instruments - often in quite barmy ways - ‘Love For That’ is the perfect home for Shura’s subtle vocals; manipulated and mangled. A song about falling in love for entirely unwise reasons - and not quite being able to escape it - it’s an exciting preview of things to come from both artists.

Mura Masa heads out on a short string of dates this month, including a sold-out show at London’s Village Underground. Catch him at the below dates, and listen to new track ‘Love For That (ft. Shura) below.
