My Bloody Valentine are working on two new albums
Kevin Shields has been chatting new music again.
My Bloody Valentine returned to touring this year, and played a new song as part of their set at Robert Smith’s Meltdown festival in London.
Kevin Shields had also been teasing new music for 2019, and has now expanded on the comments, promising two(!) new albums next year.
Speaking to Japanese press as part of a short promo run, he said: “We’re trying to finish a short album of material… it was going to be an EP in the summer, but we decided not to and decided to make it longer.”
The frontman continues: “So it will be seven tracks or eight tracks, hopefully will be finished in the end of November (2018). We’ll also be recording new material next year. There will be a lot of new material coming in the next… in the next year, there will be about two new records.”
The band last released an LP with 2013’s ‘m b v’.
