Nadine Shah cancels UK tour
The singer has stated the shows will be rescheduled at a later date.
Nadine Shah has cancelled all dates of her current UK tour, which was due to have started yesterday (2nd December) in Manchester.
Posting to Twitter, Nadine - who was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize for recent LP ‘Holiday Destination’ this year - said that the decision was due to family reasons and that the dates would be rescheduled at a later point.
Nadine was due to play Bristol tonight, before heading to London and Brighton for the sold out run.
Recently, Nadine spoke to DIY about her whirlwind year and the impact of ‘Holiday Destination’. “I felt for so long that I was just preaching to the converted, but one thing that’s been so beautiful is that although people I’m speaking to already have the same political stance as me, they’ve been reassured that someone’s talking about it,” she explained of the record’s social stance. “What my album’s done for a lot of people is lend a voice to their own activism, and that’s really important. If you can’t find the words, use these. They’re yours, take it.”
Refunds are available from the point of purchase.
