Nick Mulvey shares new track ‘Mountain to Move’
It’s the latest from Nick’s new album ‘Wake Up Now’.
Three years on from the release of his Mercury Prize-nominated album ‘First Mind’, Nick Mulvey is back.
He’s set to release new album ‘Wake Up Now’ on 8th September via Fiction Records, and was recorded at Real World Studios where producer Ethan Johns captured Nick and his live band at their most raw. Brian Eno also encouraged Nick to open up a bit more and share the workload, which has filtered into both his music and lyrics, which are set to be less swathed in metaphors and more direct than before.
He’s now also shared a brand new track from the album, ‘Mountain to Move’. Expressing some of that fuzzy rawness captured from the recording sessions, it sees gentle folk rhythms transforming themselves into something fuller and grander as the song progresses.
In October, after playing at this year’s Bestival, Nick will be heading out on a tour of the UK. He’ll be playing in various cities including Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Cardiff and London along the way. Tickets are on sale now.
