Nicolas Jaar offers ‘Consolation’ after Chile world cup loss
A penalty shoot out loss results in a new track from Jaar making its way online.
With Glastonbury and a World Cup both in full swing last night, it was inevitable that music and football would collide. As Chile battled out their second round tie with Brazil, Nicolas Jaar tweeted that if they overcame the hosts, he’d share a new track.
Missing out on penalties, Jaar relented anyway, offering up ‘Consolation’, an edit of a track by 1980s gospel soul group the Helen Hollins Singers which he claims to have “made a couple of years ago”.
