Nicolas Jaar is beginning work on two new records, the producer has told the Guardian.
His most recent release, ‘Space is Only Noise’, came out just last year. But it seems he isn’t stopping here.
Jaar has revealed that his next album should be out in 2013, while he’s also working on side project Darkness.
He told the newspaper that it’ll be “esoteric, atmospheric, sad, diabolic 14th-century baroque church music.”
The musician also had a bit to say about the current musicial climate, continuing:
“My passion for music makes me think it’s sacred. In the creation aspect, it’s very important, to me, to say this is sacred. But the reality is that music is a bastard child of our economy. That’s what’s difficult about being a musician today. How do you give [your music to] someone in a world that is not sacred? That’s the crux of it.”
