Oceaán shares remix of Everything Everything’s ‘Regret’
Two Manchester forces combine in this new track.
On 22nd June, Everything Everything release the 5-star rated ‘Get to Heaven’, a drastic upping of the game that sends their bonkers alt-pop skywards.
How to take things even further - bring on board fellow Manchester staple Oceaán, a producer who makes it his mission to distort and twist his remixes as much as possible. Sometimes he’ll employ his own vocals, but this time he’s given Jonathan Higgs’ traditional falsetto a buzzing, low-reaching hum. That’s only the half of it. The rest of ‘Regret’’s new edit is a flurry of distorted, unorthodox synths and sudden shifts that are up their with Everything Everything’s own box of tricks. “Did it imagine it in a different way?” - here’s the flipside.
Listen to the new remix below. Oceaán makes his AV live debut at London’s Courtyard Theatre on 11th June. Get tickets here.
Everything Everything will play Positivus (17th-19th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
