It’s the long-awaited follow-up to his 2015 debut album, ‘Jerk At The End Of The Line’.

Only Real returns with first single in nine years, 'Good Morning'

Only Real - the musical project of Niall Galvin - is back, having today released his first new music in nearly a decade.

New track ‘Good Morning’ is the belated successor to Only Real’s debut album ‘Jerk At The End Of The Line’, which came out back in 2015 following his 2013 EP ‘Days In The City’.

Buoyant and charming straight off the bat - picking up exactly where he left off - ‘Good Morning’ is, in Galvin’s words, ostensibly “a song about love, heartbreak, and coming through the other side”. Continuing, he’s also shared that “through the writing process I realised I was subconsciously telling the story of what I went through with Only Real - the highs, the lows and ultimately finding a new peace afterwards. In this sense the sentiment is uplifting which matches the feel good, catchy nature of the song.”

Since the release of ‘Jerk At The End Of The Line’ - which was recorded with Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Washed Out, Animal Collective) and Dan Carey (Fontaines DC, Black Midi, Kae Tempest) - Galvin has written and composed for the likes of Marc Jacobs, McDonald’s and TikTok. Now, he’s set to resurrect Only Real in earnest.
