Is there a new Outkast album on the way?

After a couple of years in the dark, it appears Outkast might be prepping a new album.

The rumour mill’s been sparked by none other than Gucci Mane, who took to Snapchat last night to reel off a list of people he’d been working with of late. Top of the pile? “I just did a record for Outkast.” Well then. That’s quite definitive, no?

Since reuniting in 2014 for a run of celebratory 20th anniversary festival shows, Big Boi and André 3000 have been up to their usual solo pursuits (the latter appearing on Frank Ocean’s new album, most notably), but Outkast have been somewhat quiet as a duo.
