Palma Violets return with new single, ‘Danger in the Club’
Hear the first track from PV’s second album. It’s a #clubbanger.
Palma Violets have returned with their first new material since 2013 debut ‘180’.
‘Danger in the Club’ - which isn’t a David Guetta track, despite the title - gained its first play as on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show.
It’s the first preview of the band’s forthcoming second album - more details to follow.
Speaking to DIY in our February issue, drummer Will Doyle said: ““We spent a lot more time on this one… There was a lot more work and effort put into it. Last album when we got signed, it was a very quick thing. It was all happening so quickly, and we needed to capture that moment in time. We hadn’t been creative for a year and a half. When you tour, your mindset is: turn up, play a show. We had a week where we would fly to a different country every day. You forget what day it is, you’re on autopilot.”
““If we can get away with this, we can get away with anything,” said Chilli Jesson. “It’s music that we really like, and we know how to do it. If people get this record, from this point on, it’s going to be so easy.”
Listen to ‘Danger in the Club’ from the 53 minute mark on BBC iPlayer.
