Paramore’s Hayley Williams performs ‘Blue Light’ live with Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke

Last night (Sunday 23rd April), Paramore’s Hayley Williams took to the stage with Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke for a stripped back version of the latter’s track ‘Blue Light’. Their pair took to the stage at The O2 Arena in London where the bands were playing the final show of Paramore’s recent UK tour, and their second show at the venue. Describing it as a real “bucket list” moment, Hayley invited Kele to the stage for a duet of the ‘Silent Alarm’ track in the middle of their set. “We have grown up with this band - the same way that a lot of you’ve grown up with us and probably have grown up with Bloc Party as well,” Hayley said, introduction to the track. “It only feels right to sing a song together that I used to cry to all the time, in my car, and maybe we can all cry together if that’s alright.” Check out fan footage of the performance - courtesy of @samjoeyung and @paramore_tour twitter accounts - below.
