Paramore Hint At Album Progress
The frontwoman speaks about working with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen.

Speaking to Buzznet, Hayley Williams of Paramore has revealed a few details on the progress of their new album.
The frontwoman spoke about working with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen and about how far along the recording process the band are: : ‘At this point, we have recorded one song with Justin. That time in the studio was easily the most relaxed, inspired, and liberating experiences we have had in any studio thus far. We are huge fans of his work not only as a producer but as a musician, writer and musical director. He wears all those hats well and with a lot of humility.’
Williams’ also talked about the difference in material this time around: ‘I am laughing things off a lot more easily these days than I was at 19, when I wrote the last album. A lot of change… a lot of positivity. Even the songs with the more serious subject matter feel less toiled and troubled. Musically, I am most inspired by the personality captured in every instrument. That, to me, is actually what is making up this newer sound that is happening.’
Hayley recently updated fans on the band’s progress in the studio. In a lengthy letter, Hayley describes in great detail the difficulties the band have encountered thus far in recording album number four before ending the note on a positive. Paramore have started recording their fourth full length LP and its producer will be Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, Nine Inch Nails). From what is said, it would appear that currently only one track has been recorded, ‘Daydreaming’, the track the band previously mentioned on Twitter, indicating no further progress has been made between the two updates.
Paramore also recently confirmed that they will headline this year’s Belsonic Festival.
These shows have been announced as the band’s warm up for this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals, where they will play alongside the likes of The Cure, Crystal Castles and You Me At Six.
The band will headline Belsonic 2012 in Custom House Square, Belfast on the 19th August.
