Post Louis announce new ‘Uptight’ EP, stream ‘Fragility’
London group have expanded their line-up since the breakthrough ‘This Could Be a Bridge’ EP.
The staples of Post Louis’ sound are still evident - upfront vocals, guitars from Robbie Stern (formerly of Cajun Dance Party) that pierce into the conscience - but the project, previously of Stern and Stephanie Davin, have expanded their line-up. And with that, their sound’s expanded into something more floor-shaking, capable of spilling out in any direction.
Post Louis’ new EP, ‘Uptight’, follows on from ‘This Could Be a Bridge’, which came out earlier this year. It’s being led by ‘Fragility’, a song that stirs in as many visible directions at once. Guitar lines weave in and out of focus, with Davin’s vocals - as ever, effect-free - remaining the only constant. Given how straight-down-the-line most of these elements are, there’s zero room for ever in Post Louis’ music - that’s undoubtedly the point.
‘Uptight’ is out 6th October. Listen to ‘Fragility’ below the tracklist.
1. Fragility
2. Faculty
3. Uptight
4. Book Your Skin
