Premiere: Listen: Oceaán Remixes Kill J’s ‘Bullet’
Hear two Chess Club Records signings combine in startling fashion.

remixes come around like buses, etc. Less than a day since he proved his production creds in mind-blowing fashion via a remix of Rae Morris, he’s taken on a track from Scandinavian duo Kill J.
Think of it as a returning of the favour. Last month, the duo of ‘Kill’ and ‘J’ took on ‘To Lose’, a track from Oliver Cean’s self-titled debut EP. Now the tables have turned, and Cean’s given the pair’s ‘Bullet’ single a taste of the Oceaán. As is customary with his remixes, Oliver’s provided his own vocals and softly-softly percussion in a strange routine that essentially makes the song his own.
In a recent DIY interview, Cean had this to say about his original take on remixes: ‘I don’t feel that things should be limited, or the idea of a remix should be adding one single sound. To me adding vocals always seemed like an obvious thing.’
