Premiere: Watch: Maximo Park Unveil ‘Lydia, The Ink Will Never Dry’ Video

fans do many things: They launch Tumblr pages, they queue up ‘til stupid o’clock for charity gigs and, in this instance, they ink themselves up in an ultimate act of devotion.

The video for ‘Lydia, The Ink Will Never Dry’ shows a bare-backed customer getting ridiculously excited for new album ‘Too Much Information’ by getting the Newcastle band’s latest song’s lyrics tattooed all over. It’s fandom taken to an extreme. Not quite like the girl who got Drake tattooed on her forehead, but pretty close.

Maximo Park have also confirmed two intimate UK gigs. They play London’s Sebright Arms on 3rd February and Newcastle’s Bridge Hotel on 8th February (tickets are only available from Reflex Records on the 7th Feb at 1pm).

Meanwhile, they’ve been keeping up with Mogwai by releasing their own booze. ‘Maxïmo No. 5’ was brewed at the Mordue Brewery and it’ll be available during their March UK tour.
