Premiere: Watch: Shunkan Shares ‘Dust In Your Eyes’ Video
Taken from a debut EP, watch a self-directed clip from the supremely exciting New Zealander.

Earlier this month, New Zealand-based songwriter Marina Sakimoto put out her debut Shunkan EP ‘Honey, Milk And Blood’ on Art Is Hard Records. Demand was big and swift - the first run promptly sold out. Now there’s a new edition of 50 blue cassettes being put out after a sold-out pre-order batch - we’re also delighted to be airing the first play of EP highlight ‘Dust In Your Eyes” new video.
The debut EP is a fairly lonely thing, where all elements are cut together and put to tape in an isolated environment. It’s the sound of Marina’s darkest, deepest thoughts being projected in one brilliant burst of energy. In person she’s probably a happier being, as evidenced by the new video, which collages images of her hanging out with friends at home, driving camper vans and seeing the world through the eyes of a suburban twenty-something.
Self-directed by Sakimoto alongside Joseph Boath, watch the ‘Dust In Your Eyes’ video below and order a cassette of her debut EP here.
