News Premiere: Watch: Society Air ‘14 Hours’ Video

James Girdler’s Portishead-channelling force has a new video - watch first on DIY.

There's something very considered about Society's music. It's refined, sharply-cut, and it damn well knows it.

James Girdler's project release their most pristine piece to date in the form of '14 Hours' on 9th September via Angular Records, ahead of their debut live show in London this October.

As a track, it hones in at the trip-hop stylings of Portishead's 'Dummy', leaving not a millisecond untouched by cutting production. Dramatic, sweeping string samples circuit the scene, while Girdler remarks on all his inner haunts.

'14 Hours'' video - premiering on DIY - shows Girdler and co. translating their remorse into a similarly haunting performance in a fancy recording studio, the source of their escape.

Society play their debut live show at London's Sebright Arms, 1st October.
