Rat Boy unveils new single, ‘Sign On’
Hear Jordan Cardy’s first mission statement now.
Essex newcomer Jordan Cardy aka Rat Boy has unveiled his new single, ‘Sign On’.
The track swiftly follows on from this week’s ‘Stick Up Kids’ track and last year’s debut mixtape, which put Cardy on the map as an exciting, unorthodox new talent.
‘Sign On’ is laced with real-life truths, like how Cardy “can’t afford the bus” and how everything went to shit when he went to Wetherspoons. Facing the abyss, he finds refuge in splattered beats, half-rapped delivery and potent honesty.
Who cares if he’s living in second hand clothes when he’s penning songs like this?
Listen to Rat Boy’s ‘Sign On’ below via Noisey - grab it on iTunes. Rat Boy will appear at Reading & Leeds (28th - 30th August).
