Reading 2011: Miles Kane: “Reading Set Couldn’t Have Been Better”
DIY caught up with Miles Kane for a quick chat.

Following his set at Reading Festival yesterday (Friday 26th August), DIY caught up with Miles Kane for a quick chat.
‘We were on so early but it was so fucking having it that I’m still buzzing,’ he told us. ‘It couldn’t have been better that gig. But it was so early that I couldn’t be arsed watching a band and that tent, you couldn’t get in it and there was a big mosh pit. I felt like I was headlining. It felt great, a lot of love. So I thank them for making it like that. I can’t wait for Leeds tomorrow as well.’
During the set, he played a cover of ‘Hey Bulldog’ by The Beatles: ‘I think it’s always good to have a cover, and I’ve always said that. When you’re in a band or make a record, I like to, even when you come to a gig, I play this song. You enter a world which you love and, for me, music that you’re listening to has such an effect on you and everything you do and it stems from what you’re getting into and whatever mood you’re in, you should show that. I’m all for that. I think it’s a good thing. You make it your own anyway and you learn from doing stuff like that.’
Miles Kane will played Leeds Festival today (Saturday 27th August) on the NME/Radio 1 Stage. Check back for the full interview later in the week.
