Reading 2013: FIDLAR: “I Don’t Really Remember Last Year, So It’ll Be A New Thing”

LA skate-punks are set to air new material at Reading & Leeds.

FIDLAR

are prepped to play the first of two Reading & Leeds sets this afternoon with a 3pm set on the Radio 1/NME stage.

Zac from the band told DIY on site that he’d hoping to remember the occasion a little better than last time, where he ‘had an anxiety attack’ at the sheer amount of people turning up to see their 2012 performance.

‘I saw a lot of naked people last year… Crazy, it blew my mind. I don’t know if [this year] is gonna be any crazier than last year - I don’t really remember the last year, so it’ll be a new thing.’

On this year’s set, FIDLAR are expected to air new material from an album due out in 2014. ‘We’ll sneak in some new songs - maybe a cover. We’ve been trying to get our bass player to sing, so maybe he’ll sing a couple of songs.’

Fidlar play the NME/Radio 1 stage at Reading Festival, 3pm. Click here to read DIY’s Reading live blog.
