Reading 2013: Palma Violets: “It Was Pretty Special”
Chilli Jesson gets suited and booted for the band’s 4 year anniversary.

celebrated their 4th year anniversary since meeting for the first time at Reading Festival in style. A particularly tiddled Chilli Jesson fled off stage following the group’s NME/Radio 1 Stage set on 24th August at Reading, in particularly good spirits.
‘It was amazing, really special festival for us,’ he told DIY, post-set.
‘We love Reading because we all met here. It’s incredible, it’s four years since we met here. It’s like the anniversary, very special… We might go back to the same campsite tonight, yellow 7.I’
Suited and booted for the occasion - ‘only for today’, he stressed - Chilli’s still swept up in the magic of festivals that helped form the band 4 years back: ‘It’s just the freedom to act how you like, you know? The straight edge jobs, or you can be free. Three days of freedom and fields, you’ll only get that at a festival.’
