Real Estate have detailed their new album ‘In Mind’

It’s out in March, and they’ve shared a video for opening track ‘Darling’!

Here’s a date to keep in mind: Real Estate are back and their brand new album called, yes, ‘In Mind’, is out on 17th March via Domino.

The follow-up to 2014’s ‘Atlas’ sees the band honing their melodic indie but also going through a period of change. Over the last couple of years, Martin Courtney became a father of two (belated congratulations there), while Alex Bleeker moved to California and lead guitarist Matt Mondanile left in 2015, with New Jersey native Julian Lynch stepping into his shoes. Harnessing these changes, on this record they’ve worked with Cole M.G.N, who’s also produced albums for Julia Holter, Beck and Snoop Dogg (don’t expect any ‘Doggystyle’ shenanigans, though).

To coincide with the announcement, the band have also shared a new video for the album’s opening track, ‘Darling’. It’s a sweet, typically jangly number and in the clip the band all wear matching outfits, including polo necks, jackets and trousers. Oh, and there’s a horse that comes along and causes a little bit of bother by getting a little bit too close to the equipment and whinnying all over the track; the guys seem a bit baffled by that.
