Real Estate travel the world in ‘Had to Hear’ video

Upon the release of their ‘Atlas’ record, Real Estate’s Martin Courtney didn’t hold back on telling DIY that he wasn’t too keen on touring.

It’s a “struggle and a balancing act, trying to bring in a personal life and start a family,” he explained. “You’ll be sick and tired all day, or even literally sick because it’s hard to stay healthy. But the shows are usually pretty fun and that gives you that one thing a day you can be excited about.”

With this in mind, it’s a bit of a surprise to see the guys looking ultra-zen and completely happy with travelling the world in their ‘Had to Hear’ video. Smiling away, they try new foods, take boat rides, wear all-white clothing just to look cool. Fair enough, this is a long way off the crammed-in-a-van routine that most touring bands struggle with - fortunately, new album ‘Atlas’ is so good it’s given them a ticket to the world.
