Rock Werchter confirm Green Day as first 2025 headliner
It’ll be the rock icons’ fourth time playing the stalwart Belgian festival.
Belgium’s best-loved festival, Rock Werchter, has announced that their first headliner of 2025 will be none other than iconic Californian rockers Green Day.
The trio - who starred on the cover of DIY’s March 2024 print magazine - will return to Werchter’s Festivalpark for the first time in over a decade to deliver a sure-to-be-blistering set featuring tracks from this year’s ‘Saviors’ (their 14th studio album), as well as old favourites from throughout their back catalogue.
It’ll be the fourth time Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool grace the stage here, having previously performed in 2005, 2010, and 2013 - and where better to host rock royalty than a festival named after the genre?
Rock Werchter 2025 will take place in Werchter’s Festivalpark from Thursday 3rd July to Sunday 6th July. More names for next year’s festival will be revealed in due course, but in the meantime you can pre-register for tickets here before they go on general sale at 10am on Friday 22nd November from the festival’s website.
In the meantime, you can get yourself (even more) excited for next Summer by grabbing a copy of our Green Day-covering issue via our online shop, or by reading the full cover interview below.
