Royal Blood announce self-titled debut album
Brighton duo’s first work lands just in time for Reading & Leeds festivals.
Brighton duo Royal Blood have announced their self-titled debut album.
The pair of Ben Thatcher and Mike Kerr follow-up their recent ‘Out of the Black’ single with their first full-length on 25th August via Warner Bros.
A full tracklist is yet to be confirmed, but ‘Come On Over’, ‘Figure It Out’ and ‘Little Monster’ all feature on the record.
DIY recently spoke to the duo about their debut, which they said was “just trying to capture who we are as a band.”
“It felt too contrived to throw in different types of genres and music just for the sake of it. In a sense, we’ve stuck to what we know, but that’s not to say we haven’t taken the songwriting to places that we haven’t already gone. We actually feel like it’s eclectic enough for it to be a body of work.”
Royal Blood play at this year’s Glastonbury, Open’er and Reading and Leeds festivals.
