Royal Blood slip to Number 2 as Lonely The Brave and Pulled Apart By Horses hit Top 40 Albums Chart

Sam Smith takes the top spot at the last minute after the Brighton duo led at the midweek stage.

Royal Blood drop from the top spot in this week’s Official UK Top 40 Albums Chart, pipped to the post by Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’.

The Brighton two-piece were in the lead at the midweek stage, but with Smith hitting Number 5 in the Singles Chart with ‘I’m Not The Only One’, he steals a last minute Number 1 in the Album Charts to go with it.

George Ezra continues to hang around the higher reachers, with ‘Wanted On Voyage’ remaining at Number Five. Lonely The Brave score a stellar new entry at Number 14 with debut album ‘The Day’s War’, while Pulled Apart By Horses celebrate their first Top 40 record with their third full length ‘Blood’, in at Number 38.
